How spots are filled
When you go live you tell Breakcastr the product type (sports or a trading card game), the product, and your spots. Those choices build your spot board: the Fill Tracker and Spot Counter widgets come up ready, with nothing to configure by hand.
The league’s teams, or your own list
For a sports league you choose how to sell your spots:
The league’s teams
Spots are the teams in the league you picked, one spot per club. The count is set for you and locked to the league’s roster, so you never enter a number. For a soccer league you also pick the season, since squads change year to year. Your Fill Tracker shows the teams (as logos, names, nicknames, or abbreviations).
A custom list
You bring your own spots instead of the roster. This is how you run player breaks, character breaks, hit drafts, buyer-name breaks, or anything that isn’t teams.
A trading card game has no roster, so a TCG is always a custom list.
Total spots and named spots
A custom list is one number plus an optional set of names:
- Total spots is how many you’re selling.
- Named spots are optional. Type or paste them, one per line or separated by commas. Name as many or as few as you like: the names you enter show on your Fill Tracker, and everything you leave unnamed sells as a numbered spot. Naming three chase slots out of thirty is perfectly normal, and so is naming none.
So total spots = named spots + unnamed spots, and the Fill Tracker lists only the named ones. If you
want every spot on the board by name, name them all; if you just want a running count, name none and use
the Spot Counter.
Leagues and TCGs
US sports leagues: NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and MLS.
Soccer leagues: Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and the UEFA Champions League. For these you also pick the season, since squads change year to year.
Trading card games: Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, One Piece, Digimon, and Flesh and Blood.
The league or TCG you pick drives the board and, for the sports leagues, powers the League Scores and Team Score widgets.
